That math makes sense but you usually have between 5-10 that don't redshirt and my best guess is at least 5 out of every class will drop out after 1-2 years for one of the specified reasons listed above. We have managed to stay under 85 recruiting 28 players a year so I would think nothing has changed on the quality of players. We will hopefully hit on the greater percentage that match or exceed expectations and the lesser percentage will be the kids who do not and will quit the team. In any case we need the 25 a year to keep the quality of the roster.

Ok, after reading through many poorly worded articles you are still allowed to backcount with EE's
