Big Kat do you have a link to where it says backcounting is no longer allowed?
Previously the limit was 28, and several schools signed more than that because some could count back. I don't see how changing the limit from 28 to 25 changes it, but I may be interpreting it incorrectly.
As for LSU, I don't think we have room for anyone to count back.

quote:Just my interpretation but you can still count back (assuming there is room under the 25/85 limits). I have never seen a link to the actual language of the rule.

You could (again, assuming there is room): (1) sign 25 including early enrollees, count the early enrollees back, and simply not have a full 25-initial-counter-limit class for the current year (would be decreased by the number who could count back); or (2) sign 25 summer/fall enrollees and have them all count for the current class, but simply have your early (spring) enrollees not sign LOI's (nobody HAS to sign one) so they don't count against the SEC's 25-LOI limit.
I really don't think the SEC cares if guys are counted back. I think what they care about are guys being promised they have a spot then being asked to grayshirt.
