So given that you will lose kids through academics, transfers, etc. it would probably be a huge mistake to not take 25 in this years class, correct? I see where some posters in other threads are questioning signing some of the kids just for the sake of filling out your 25 for this year. Not saying that I know enough about the recruits to know if it is a stretch on some of them but just given the facts it seems a must to always fill out your 25 slots.

25 players over a 5 year period is 125 kids. You only can have 85.
If you get quality recruits and develop them you will average under 25 ships per year.
Or you can go the Tennessee/Bama route and trapdoor dead weight upperclassmen and sign the max number of kids every year
