So fill me in... If I had a large green egg and wanted to maintain 225 degrees for say 10-12 hours, what would that entail charcoal wise? How many lumps? Would I have to add more along the way? These things are fascinating, but I haven't had experience with them.

I have a med and a small the large is just to big for me.
I can get 12 hrs w/ 3-4 lbs. charcoal @ 225 deg.
in the med.
I use the small for salmon smoked w/Alder wood.

My xl Primo will hold 200 degrees for 36 hours without refilling...

I've had my large BGE at 225 for 20 hours before pulling off a brisket. Used 5 pounds of lump. Probably could have gone another 3-4 hours.
