I've been kinda tired of Hawthorne since about 1989. Back then he was just cranky and pessimistic, but more often than not could at least tell you the down and distance.

not Jim Hawthorne.

I like his touchdown calls. Outside of that, he is like Verne. There are worse out there, and better.
