Finally coming out of hiding... so, how bad was Jim Hawthorne

...to listen to during the game? I was there so didn't hear him.

I'm guessing he was just a tad cranky?

I like Hawthorne, he's heads and shoulders over other SEC radio guys believe it or not. Take a drive through Mississippi on a fall afternoon listening to the radio and you'll agree. He takes his deserved bashings during football season, but I love hearing him calling baseball games. To each is own I guess

Jim and Doug were just as stunned at how unprepared they were like everyone else.

Hawthorne is a hell of a lot better than any other SEC voice.

Hawthorne is way better than most. Just listen to other teams announcers and they are really terrible. I heard a few games this past season on Sirius. Made me appreciate Jim even more.
