People think that we're going to be SB contenders every year, and that just isn't going to happen. We need to take advantage of our opportunities while they are here.
Given all the free agents in the off season, I'm concerned about next year.

we're supposed to never forget the bad times and be content with just making the playoffs?
we're supposed to remember how shitty it used to be and be thrilled with a second-round exit in the playoffs because we won the Super Bowl?
we're supposed to accept a 13-3 season as a success, even though the ultimate prize was within reach and we didn't get it done?
i was around for the disappointment. i went through the ditka years. i remember the pain of those days. but it doesn't mean i am not pissed the frick off about not winning THIS year.
capitalize on these opportunities. brees' window is going to be closed before you know it. i, for one, would love to raise another banner before it's over.
save this "you don't know disappointment" shite. i do know disappointment. it was this game!
