I find this a very fascinating question. I think the coaches gave up way to early on shep as a qb.....size can be the only thing that I believe was hindering his chance of being a qb.

Yep

Even if they weren't going to let him throw they could have at least used him in the wildcat formations throughout his career to supplement the Lee offense

JJ had no business playing for LSU at QB

I find this hard to believe just due to size. Oregon's QB is just about the same height, weight, and etc as Shep. I have to go along with some others on here. Give him a chance in the game. He couldn't have been any worse than JJ.
