I guess when LSU defense shut done Arkansas and Georgia for one game that made there offense pathetic 2. forget the fact that they had 2 of the better qbs in the nation cause they got destroyed by LSU in one game so there whole offense is pathetic.

It's a crying shame georgia shut us down for a whole half!! They only prolly had the 3rd best defense in football after LSU and Bama and still got ran completely freakin over in the 2nd half like it was no tommorrow. All we did was line up in the 2nd half and ran the damn ball right at them. More talent is the reason they got crushed.

I'm saying this cause truth be told the pathetic offense averaged well over 40 points a game againts everybody not name Alabama no matter if JL or JJ was in the game. We squeaked out 1 against Bama and i can honestly say because of JJ (and help from other sources) and lost the 2nd because of JJ (and help from other sources).

Everybody needs to Just man up and give bama there damn credit. Les a good coach but he not good enough 2 change the stragety of a team thats 13-0 for one game against an opponent we beat already. All this will die down and we all recognize why bama the champs when they have 6 or 7 first round draft picks this year.

Les still cheated us for not giving happy feet a chance but he cheated bama 2 cause history say's they prolly would have picked him off a couple times and padded there stats lol.

NO. Absolutely incorrect. DO NOT GIVE MILES AN EXCUSE ON THIS ISSUE.

Every reasonable football observer KNEW that that the Offense had big time problems after the Arky game and GA game. MILES FAILED TO RECOGNIZE THE FOOTBALL PROBLEM BEFORE HIM. Now that his lack of insight has resulted in this catasrophic system failure and collapse, he MAY address the problem and try to solve it.

This is the way that Miles coaches . . . completely lacking of intelligent insight.

to a great extent, successful a-gap running is dependent upon the quarterback's ability to hit an open receiver - which we did in fact have, as you stated, earlier in the year.

The Honey Badger's performance made us forget how bad the offense was in the first half of the SEC title game. Zero first downs in the first half. 12 total yards. Georgia gave Saban the blue print to shut down our pathetic offense.

The fact that we were able to push Georgia around in the 2nd half probably validated the game plan and gave them no reason to adjust too much.

Basically, keep doing what has worked all season (we scored 500 points) and try the few things that worked in the first Bama game. Just a really bad game plan and terrible play calling and execution.

And I will NEVER EVER understand why Lee didn't get a chance

Agree 100%

JL should have probably have been the started all season..and used JJ as the option QB in certain areas.

The players are partly to blame because I think they really felt JJ should be the starter when he got back on the team...

forgot about that.

Maybe its the gameplan we use with JJ.
The A-gap running and play action from earlier in the years seemed to spark the team more easily and our offense did not seem as flat earlier in the year.

dude our offensive production shot up when JJ took over. Don't believe me check the damn stats. we had a couple of our better offensive games every

Not with me, that why I said you give too much credit to Bama defense. Not having a first down in one half was unheard of.

Well it's like you stated earlier in the post, TM7 masked some of the problems. But many fans, like me and many others on here, could see the limited capabilities of the offense with JJ at the helm. The problem is that we were called racist or negatigers for expressing the Facts about the offense by some of the jackasses on this board!

Hopefully CLM will have learned his lesson and not be so damn predictable

That is correct. It was impossible to be critical of JJ without being called a NegaTiger and a Racist OR having yelled at you "Lee completely sucks!".

That is exactly what I have said. Everyone seems to have forgotten the first half of the Georgia game, we sucked!! I started to get worried about the BCS game then, said we had to work on offense. JJ has been coming apart slowly since that game, maybe even before. No way all our eggs should been in jj's basket. The kid lost it a long time ago. Big playmakers (Honey Badger, Mo) etc. kept us in the win column. Take away those big plays, we had no offense. Plain and simple.

That's the story of the last two years with Jefferson. Our defense and special teams ( ) bailed us out time and time again. Posters who saw the real issue and foretold of this day were labeled "negative" and laughed off the board.

The BCS game's performance was a LONG time coming and the chickens (pun) finally came home to roost.

JJ had 25 net yds of total offense against Georgia.

25...thats combined rushing and passing.

TWENTY-FIVE.

Sometimes, people need to quit looking at the stats and starting paying attention to what their eyes are seeing.

dude my eyes know we barely even punted the ball this year besides in the bama games and the 1st half against georgia. JJ is not a good qb but bashing him to try and promote JL is just stupid. JL should have played against georgia and bama for a change cause we wasnt doing crap but thats about as far as it goes.

Good post but the problem is deeper IMO. A pattern emerged this season, in every game it took the defense from 1 to 2 quarters to figure out the other offense and essentially shut it down. In the first 8 games, with a more balanced offense, LSU trailed only once, against Oregon. After the Bama game, JJ starting, the defense was the same but our ability to get a lead was compromised and it got worse as the competition improved, culminating in the Georgia 1st half debacle. Against a solid, well conditioned defense the offense collapsed, because JJ can't pass. If Miles doesn't understand this then we may be in trouble down the road.

I didn't bash him.

But lost in the stats are the fact that we stopped jumping on teams early, we stopped getting to the line quickly and organized, other things started popping up that killed drives, etc. And the philosophy changed- our best ball carries saw carries go to JJ.

That Lee's skills were not given a chance against 'Bama on Monday is flat-out bizarre.

People have bad days. That's just the way it is. JJ was having a real shitty day evidenced by the bounce passes, and the shovel pass that reminded me of the Eric Ainge tossup to the LBs while in his own endzone.

I'll say the same thing I said after 11/5: It's a coinflip when these two teams play. LSU could easily win next Sat. He made a QB change then, but not on 1/9. Confusing.

Why aren't people blasting you and saying you're not a true tigah fan?

I agree, and in other words the offense just isn't as good without Lee.

Eh, did we really try and run the same game plan? I don't remember Copeland lining up at WR or running too many bubble screens against UGA...
