I never said that, but what people said never stopped the Rant from hearing what it wants. My statement that the NFL wouldn't want him was a comment on the funny way people have of remembering the biggest thing you've done. Whether it's good or bad merely determines HOW they'll remember you.

From 1990 to 1993, the Buffalo Bills had two 13-3 seasons and finished overall 49-15 and won the AFC four times consecutively. Does anyone remember that? No, they remember the Bills getting skullfricked in four straight Superbowls. The good seasons that got them there are forgotten.

At this point, if anyone were considering him, all the good things Les Miles has done would be glaringly overshadowed by what happened Monday. There is no getting past it. If he can do something more impressive then Monday, too, will be forgotten but right now he's branded with it.
