Greatest Peace of Mind from Last Night's Loss

We'll never have to witness Jefferson put on an LSU uniform again. I've been saying it all year long, no matter the outcome of this season, no matter if we would've won last night by 21....I will be so glad when this season is done due to the simple fact that the Jefferson/Lee saga is finally over. 4 seasons of this bullshite is finally over, and knowing what the QB depth chart looks like combined with who we have coming in, this part of the team looks as bright as it has in a while.
I think he got what he deserved. When you allow yourself to be involved with the off-the-field issues that he did, put a black eye on the program with your arrest, and then come back after the toughest stretch of the schedule is done only to climb into a spotlight...it's tough for me to justify him being deserving to lift a crystal ball. Don't confuse this for a second, I feel terrible for so many others on the team that because of a lot of Jefferson's shite lost a NC. But at the end of the day I think he deserved to finish his career in the shithouse, you reap what you sow, what goes around comes around, and I wish him luck at his grocery bagging career.
Here's to a new chapter in LSU's Quarterback book! Thank God we're finally turning the page!

but he made great decisions with the ball

I said this walking out of the Dome and I'll say it again here: just as Tiger fans speak of the Hallman and DiNardo eras, so we have been living through the Jefferson era.
I hurt for him as a person, but recognize that he isn't D1 material. So happy to have a Jefferson free 2012.

Agree with every word, letter, and punctuation type used here. Would even be willing to miss out on his brother, if that keeps us from having JJ referenced in any way, shape, or form ever, ever again.

Personally, i'm glad him and Lee are gone. Good riddance

I'm not saying he's 100% responsible for the loss. I'm simply saying I'm glad he's officially gone. I honestly have forgotten what it's like to not have quarterback drama surrounding our program.

quote:That may be a little much, but I pretty much agree with everything else you said. No more threads debating about 2 average, and sometimes, below average QB's. Despite all that, it's still amazing how successful LSU has been with 2 avg/below average QB's over the past 4 years. Most teams need a very good QB to win and Les has overcome that. I said this to myself in 2009: If LSU had Greg McElroy, or someone like that, LSU might have been dancing with the crystal that year (well then again Crowton was still in BR), and he didn't set the world on fire, but managed the game and put players in positions for them to make plays and that's all that LSU might have needed. I'm not crazy about hypotheticals but it makes sense in my mind.
...and I wish him luck at his grocery bagging career

I don't like JJ as much as the next guy but its not like the guy murdered someone or robbed an old lady. He got in a bar fight with a drunken obnoxious marine. He sat out several games so I feel like his punishment was suitable for the crime. The game was lost because the players were out played by a well coached, more physical football team last night.
