This makes more sense. Now that you mentioned it, only the guy on the left has a visible M4. I guess they could've unassed the MRAP in the pic but if what you say is true that is clearly a breach of protocol, OPSEC and just plain stupid.

I agree, if something was done wrong, handle it

If this is true why would they go outside the wire without their weapon anyway? My weapon was with me everywhere in Iraq. Sensitive items check private... private's response back... where's my weapon?(in his piss his pants voice) True story. We were forming for a convoy through Iraq in 2005 when the country was loaded with insurgents. A lot of people got in trouble for that shite. Kid lost his weapon and other people lost their rank.
