I am simply not sold on Loston yet. He has been here 3 years and for whatever reasons he has not made much noise. Who do you think would be the best bet to replace Brandon next year,Micah Eugene or Ronald Martin. Will these 2 be legit in your opinion.

Absolutely. I wouldn't be surprised to see Vinson moved back to Safety as well to provide depth.

If Loston can stay healthy, I wouldn't give up on him yet. Ronald Martin appears to be in line for significant playing time next year as well.

Loston is fine if he stays healthy. The reason he hasn't played much this season is health and our starting 2 safeties are awesome. Landon wasnt a lock to play next year and based on last night, he would not play over Loston. He was out if position multiple times last night. Even my Gump friend said this morning he looked a bit overhyped last night. Lsu has guys that can step up:

Vinson
Gibson - highly coveted ATH out if Prattville AL
Micah
Ronald Martin

So, you aren't sold on loston, but are sold on Collins...?

Is that what you're saying?

I thought it was common knowledge that Loston's cover and ball skills weren't very good.
He can hit though, that's for sure.

The main reason I (and many others) wanted Landon was because of the following:

1) Rated #1 La. Prospect

2) Rated #1 Safety nationally

3) Would add to the depth LSU has until he became a starter.

For some, not me - 4) Boost rankings on Rivals, etc.

No one knows how he's going to pan out in college. Hell, we have a former nation's best safety in Loston. He's not lighting it up. Landry is making more tackles than Loston on special teams.

LSU has beaten Bama 9 of 12 since 2000. Do you know how many 5* have been on their roster on both sides of the ball during that time. The last thing we needed Collins for was to beat Bama or be National Champions.

It's all good. We'll see Collins, Devall, Bell, Lacy, and Sylve at least once a year, dressed in "sellout".
