Why are other boards so heavily monitored?

Tiger Droppings does a nice job of letting a lot be said. Sure, the sight is monitored, but not like others. Back in 07 I posted on an Ohio State board, simply why I thought LSU was the stronger team. Was honestly just trying to have good sports talk with their fans. I didn't bash the site, the school or their fans. Not my style. Not only was my post deleted, they banned me for a few days. Uhhh, ok.
Just curious as the reasoning behind it?? I don't get it, but there has to be some sort of reason?

Great business strategy. Allow debate, get people fired up and passionate and defensive, keep them coming back. I enjoy it.

Amazing that you are asking this question in sincerity.

Could be that there are too many posts that ask where to watch the game, to keep track of everything.
