Baton Rouge – “Just one week before LSU tries for the national championship, many of Baton Rouge’s most recognized sports radio personalities have lost their voices”, says the local WAFB television. Clear Channel’s New Year's Day flip of “Score” WSKR, Denham Springs, LA (1210) was reported on the Louisiana Board of Radio-Info.com. New format? Gospel, as “Hallelujah 1210.” The TV station says local sports talkers such as Jordy Hultberg, Jimmy Ott, Rommy Krysan and Richard Condin are gone. So is Buddy Songy, who got a call from management at 10:30am Sunday morning. Clear Channel had dropped Clarence Buggs and Scott Innes in October. The exit from what was probably an expensive sports format leaves the field to Guaranty Broadcasting’s “104.5 ESPN” WNXX, Jackson, LA.
