Not sure about this statement but a good article overall.

Plus, IMHO, 60,000 of the 90,000 at JerryWorld for the UO game were Tigah fans & they were LOUD. Not a true home field, but the next best thing.

there were a TON of fans from OU and OSU in the previous 2 championships
