RE: "Fottball"
After seeing his last post, the thought occurred to me that this might be the perfect person to meet with Miles and serve as an interpreter for the family.

Why do some of the people on here assume everyone is believing the kid is scared of competition. fottballfan, please calm down. Whatever decision Borque makes for himself, 99% of people will respect on here. The kid is a great physical talent and his versatility will serve him well in college.

I can understand his desire to remain at running back if that is what he so chooses. Some actual experts seem to feel that his size and skills set him up great to be a superb WR in college and at the next level. I hope and assume this young man is at least putting some thought into it. His size alone would give him a great shot to be a huge contributor at WR and he'll be able to transition much better than Shepard did because he's caught the ball some as a RB.

In the end, most are wishing him the best and hope he becomes a Tiger, but the kids gotta do what he and his family feels is best for him.

I can see your affiliation but you are an idiot if you are over 18 and here defending a kid who was spawned by a friend of yours. Really??

Has Borque officially decommitted from LSU? Miles didn't recruit another back. Hill would have been last year. If Borque is the player people say he is, don't we want him. I'd he wins back position great ... If not then he can play elsewhere. .???

Saying DB isn't scared of comp seems to defy logic if rumors of him looking are correct. If his camp say anything else they are reaching. This issue came up exactly when Hill was rumored to being enrolled in classes. Ftr I hope Bourque decides to attend at LSU but if not, we are LSU.

Davante Bourque is kinda on the tall side, but he's about the same height as Matt Forte, who chewed up my fantasy league this year until his injury.. and T.J. YELDON, who is the 5-star RB recruit from Alabama whose listed as the same size on Rivals.

I guess he's tall for a RB position, but that would be for the coaches to decide finally. He's only 1" taller than Blue, and I'd question that 1" because his videos on Youtube listed him at 6'2", while Rivals is 6'3".

First, Borque has not officially decommitted. He could still sign with LSU. It is not set in stone that he would play RB--many think he would be an outstanding wide receiver in college, and he may be a defensive back candidate also, though the Tigers seem to have plenty of those.
About Hill--I would imagine a 90% chance he would be redshirted, since he hasn't played competitive football or practiced in a while. I have read that he may be a possible LB on the college level.

It is a great choice to have for LSU, and this is why having a #1 rating and such a solid program puts the Tigers in a great position--knowing they will get one of these two great prospects.

I would love to have both sign this year with Borque taking the role of a Josh Reed type receiver.

I presume you are Tommy Tate, if true about being in Miles' office.
You also seem to allude to a promise being broken by Miles.
Regardless of who you claim to be, I'm sure coming on a message board will help his cause.

BOURQUE ISN'T SCARED TO COMPETE AGAINST ANY PLAYER. BOURQUE HAS HIS REASONS FOR LOOKING ELSEWHERE AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY PLAYERS.

So, what's his reason? Does he feel like he was lied to by Les Miles b/c they told him he would be the only rb taken in this class? If this is the case, then DB needs to get over it...These types of recruiting tactics go on all the time. You're only as hot until the next man comes along and in this case it just so happens to be Jeremy Hill.

If Borque is truly looking elsewhere because he feels like he was "lied to", then he needs to re-evaluate his perception. He's been sketchy through his entire recruitment process and has already embarrassed himself by making negative remarks about LSU's staff, etc. He's a great athlete, but he certainly isn't so good that a school like LSU couldn't do without him. LSU is in charge here and he should feel VERY lucky that we offered him in the first place. Secondly, he or his family could have asked ANY person who has followed recruiting in the last year and they would have been told that Hill was coming to LSU as soon as his legal issues blew over. Sure, its a shame that they came up in the first place, but Hilliard and Hill were the type of dominating RBs that you don't pass up.......and they were ALL LSU. It was a given that Hill would be here. So, Miles did keep his word and did not go out a actively recruit any other RB's. With Borque now being a whiny primadonna, its now looking like maybe he should have.

LSU is no longer at the level where they have to deal with BS from recruits. You either want to be a Tiger or you don't. If not, good luck, and we'll shake your hand after the game when we destroy you.

bourque is a freak........i see him as an OLB for the tigers and would expect him to play as a freshman at least on special teams. It is very common to see a rb switch to the lb position and given his size and speed and our need at that position, i see him making a move. However, we have not really recruited any pure rbs in this class. i would suspect we are trying to stagger the rb classes so we will pick up at least 2 next recruiting year.

i expect collins to commit to the tigers and be the backup SS behind loston.

Bourque has not decomitted yet so nothing to worry about. He should be ok with Miles keeping his promise to Hill. They didn't exactly recruit another RB as these are unique circumstances. Anywhere he goes he won't be the only RB. IMO he will sign with LSU and contribute on special teams and be given an oppurtunity at RB. And I think he will do well. The kid is talented and I can't wait to see him in purple and gold.
