It is a lot of fun.

White River is the place to go.

My favorite place to go is right below the Bull Shoals Lake damn.

If you can afford it the way to go is a guided trip on day 1, then do it yourself after that. The rainbows are fairly easy to catch but the brown's are more of a challenge. Check with local bait shops and ask what they are biting on. Typically worms, gulp minnows, and artificial trout baits will work.

I am not a fly fisherman so you would need to ask around if that is your thing. Seen lots of people doing it, key appears to be finding the right bait/presentation. The trout are stacked below the damn so finding them isn't really an issue.

Boat rentals and lodging are available all along the White River.

If you are heading up, you should also consider a scheduled stop on the Buffalo River for some small mouth bass fishing. Canoe rentals are easily available and they drop you off and pick you up at designated points. Just tell them where you want to go and how long of a trip you want. (hours, days, weeks, etc) They can also point you to good floats for fishing.

Have fun.
