So you admit Miles is the better coach.

Then please explain why a gimpy Maze remained in the 11/5 game to throw wounded duck passes and watch punts sail over his head?

If by that you mean he hired Frank Wilson, then yes...yes he is.

I suppose you are referring to HB7 as a 2 star. He was a 4* on Rivals.

Yeah, after he committed to LSU and dominated our camp, forcing rivals to take notice. Before that he was a 2 star. Limited film and poor size.

The point is that LSU went after a guy who was a 2 star, and that guy ended up being a Heisman candidate.

Mo Claiborne was also a 2 star when LSU got his commitment, and now he is a top 5 draft pick.

You sure do get upset about any post not praising Bama above all others, don't you? This is about Miles, not Mini-me.

Wow! You had to go way back to dig this thread up.

The OP dissed CNS with:
"Saban starting pulling in top recruits, but what he did is nothing compared to Miles"

I felt that was a stupid statement so I called him out on it. Then I responded to about 10 other stupid posts from you crazy LSU fans.

CLM is a great recruiter but he's not better than CNS. That was a really dumb statement. Yes, CNS is 2-3 with Les so he's looking better at the moment. The rest of the country may have a different opinion after 1/9.

I think that statement was relative to what both coaches did AT LSU.

All of your arguments deal with Saban at Bama. That wasn't the comment. Saban has arguably been a better recruiter at Bama.

Yes, Saban had great classes at LSU starting in 2002, but he also let some of the diamond-in-the-rough type players slip through the cracks.

For example....Matt Forte, Chris Henry, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, and Tracy Porter (all 2002-2004, btw, and all were impact NFL players).

Well I heard today that CLM let RGB3 slip through the cracks. LSU post, not mine. Same poster said you could have had Tyler Wilson also. But CLM took Jordan Jefferson over both of them. I think he made a mistake there. You?

You've got to stop being butt-hurt every time you see something about Saban. Saban was LSU coach too. LSU fans know something about Saban.

In making a case for Les, if someone commented negatively about Saban you do not need to feel butt-hurt. It's OK. It's on TigerRant. If that guy posts the same thing on SECRant duke it out as much as you want.

It's OK when something bad is said about Saban on the rant. It does not matter to Saban - you realize that right!

If you are so deep, why not put in one of those 4* horses in place of Maze? If you are so deep, why was your team dragging at the end of the game?

If you can't/won't use them, they are not "depth."

Get off this SOS shite. Its not a defining stat over Bama.

I have to agree with you. But, at the risk of being redundant-- the defining stat is 9-6. Does any other stat really matter?

Mathieu was actually a 3* when he committed and got his fourth star afterward, fwiw. Logan and Simon were also 3* guys who will probably be All SEC next season. Saban and Miles have both had #1 classes at LSU. Saban signed a 2* guy name of Hester who did pretty well for himself. Both coaches are among the top five closers in the country IMO.

First,

Dumbass, PSU got their butts hands handed to them by Houston in a NON-BCS game! And if you are equating that to WVU at their place and they are now playing in the Orange Bowl you are an absolute idiot!!!! Next, if you QB's were so good why do you not pass more? You do not because your QB's are like your kickers and they SUCK! It is the main reason you do not pass more! Saban does not trust them!

I am a QB coach at 5A High School here in the Houston Metro area and I will tell you that our coaching staff that Saban was a dbag while he was at LSU! They love Miles! Will Call him either after we play a team they think he should look at or if we have some talent for the Tigers! A huge difference! Coaches love dealing with Miles period!

You Better Hope no School with more Money or an NFL program does not come and offer Saban more money because he will tell you one thing and do another!!! Period! That is how he does people!

The only reason CNS recruits so well is because CLM allows him to live!!!
