its speaks to the mindset of the people who were in charge when the trade went down, same guy trying to pull of that lakers deal so we could be a mediocre team, just so monty doesn't have to coach as hard and gets to keep his job.

the fact is we could have kept him, and he didn't have to trade him, and what makes me mad is everybody should know now, it wasn't about any system bull, it was monty being sensitive and dell pacifying is friend. anybody that couldn't see what he brought to the team is now in question period, the lakers deal he was trying to swing compounds that.

dell and monty waited until the team was owned by the league and there was no one over them that understood Thornton's value to the team(chouest), it had been rumored for a while, and i believe the reason that it didnt happen was because of chouset and shin.

that landry deal was crap and everybody knows it, and you saw in that kings vs lakers game why i tell people we would have won that lakers series had they not traded MT, you needed a dog in that game who was willing to take over and take shots when chris paul put the series in the hands of his team mates.

i love gordon and yes he and Thornton would have been a beast of a back court, both can handle the ball, and Gordon has more so the ability to run offense and create for others.

but this team, is slow, Gordon is a huge piece, but he's not a pace changer, he scores points and they don't really affect the flow of his team in a positive way.

we're gonna need young athletic guys desperately, guys that are Eric Gordon's equal, and athletic superior.

You think we would have won the series if we still had Thornton? Not a chance because we would not have had a starting caliber 4 that was playing. No way we could win that series without having someone at the 4. (west was out)

WTH are you talking about?

A lot has been said of MT5's icy relationship with CP3 not allowing them to play together.. It's not hard to imagine when you can remember the way CP3 treated him on the court. It looked more jealous older brother than older veteran taking the kid under his wing. All we ever heard about why he wasn't getting PT was rumors.

MT5 is also making $8M per now. I really like him, but that's a lot at this point in his career.

This guy, he's a funny one. Without Landry, we don't make the playoffs. If we did, it was sweep city. Was Ariza gonna start at PF?

So, you point out weaknesses in Gordon's game that are arguably more glaring in Thornton's game..... Good call, champ.
