What is proper way to dispose of old LSU flag?

My LSU flag in my flower bed was old and tattered, so I got a shiny new flag for Christmas. How do I dispose of the old flag in a respectful manner? TYIA

retiring a flag is reserved for the US and Sate flags. No need to do anything special for an LSU fan, just toss it if you don't want it any more. I would put it up in the garage though, but if for some reason you need to do something with it, cermonially burn it or bury it.

Wrap it around an empty RC Cola bottle and throw it, left-handed, over the top of your pick-up's roof, at a speed limit sign while you are driving on a highway.
