Well how would you do that if you're using HDMI? I sure don't want to use component

in the options menu there is a slider that you can adjust to correct screen lag. the default is "50" and the lower the number you adjust it to, the less lag correction there is. i found my sweet spot to be about 25.

On ps3 you can use hdmi for visuals and component for audio to significantly reduce lag.
