I agree he can, but he often has a delayed kick called. If it is called at the wrong time and he doesn't get the right pre snap read, and isn't aware after the snap, it isn't hard to block one at all.

The OP is probably right. I've been thinking the same thing. The reason LSU has had so few kicks returned is that Wing has three strategies - the high 40 yard kick, the long liner, and the delay to allow coverage downfield. Bama was scared in the first game because Les has faked so many, but they'll take a few risks this time in the hopes of catching Wing stutter-stepping.
