I would think the deers could smell the solvent and stuff.
Why would a deer associate solvent with a human? Worry about body odor.

I wash with the no scent stuff and wash my clothes in it and keep them in plastic containers....

most of the time I'll dress outside and spray down with no scent stuff and squirt estrus cover up on the soles of my boots

Why would he associate body odor with humans? Seriously. Think about it.

He doesn't associate that smell with anything except that he doesn't know what it is. When that smell scares him, he then associates it with danger. Most hunters are carrying guns, so it's not a stretch to say that deer may be more afraid of scent of gun oil then they are of body odor. Just a thought.

To answer the question, I wipe mine down if it gets wet or muddy, but rarely if ever really clean it during the season.
