I don't get the people saying Sam, as a high 2nd at worst, would be stupid to leave. You are stupid to say that. With the rookie pay scale in place, I don't see him making up enough in salary to justify not making millions a year earlier.
It's like the people saying the NBA players were willing to give up a year of salary for an extra 2%. You're not going to give away 20% in order to make 5% more.

I haven't seen him going that high in every draft board. I think there is a chance he could be drafted as high/low as 3rd round, especially if he has a mediocre or bad NC game.

Apples and oranges that is 2% of billions of dollars or 70 million dollars a year or 700 million over ten years. Or almost 2 Million dollars per roster spot over that time line, Considering that revenues stay equal.
That is a big difference from a chance of making more money.
