Doesn't come across as very ambitious. Good for us, he's a damn good DC. One of the very best in the nation.

I took a manager job at one point and hated it. Went back to the technical track and loved it.
Chavis loves being a top-notch DC at a major program. That's his dream job and he's living it.

Trust me....I went to additional school for nearly a decade....I manage a staff now, and honestly, if I could do my job without having to manage said staff, I would enjoy it immensely more than I do now.
If you call a decade's worth of professional school a lack of ambition, then you've got yourself a misguided notion of what ambition really means.
