Its called a rub route. Commomly referred 2 as "mesh" routes as well. You see it all the time with some of the most basic man beaters such as Slant/chute or Slant/out combinations.

Further more, the mesh is a staple of passing attacks.
It works against both man and zone. Its a beautiful thing actually.
The 2 wrs run as close to each other as possible. One wr is reading the others man. If he's following him, its man coverage, keep running. If he has no one trailing, its zone, find the hole and sit down.
