In his defense, neither Mauck nor Flynn had to face a defense as good as Bama 11. Also, I've seen the top name QBs this year look very similar when they are getting hit. They just play crappy Ds for the most part and have all day to throw. Weeden against Iowa State is one example. Keenum against USM is another.

this.

I am all for JJ being the starter. I have confidence that what he brings to the table is enough to beat Bama again.

JJ is tough enough to take a hit - and to dish it out a little. As long as he doesn't throw interceptions, I will take a sack or two, because in many sack situations he actually makes yards - just don't toss it up to avoid a hit.

JJ has impressed me since the Bama game. JL put us on his shoulders and carried us to 8-0 - but I think we lose to Bama without JJ.

JJ has earned the starting role - Geaux JJ.

I hope it is enough of a blowout win for LSU that we can afford to put JL in for some meaningful playing time in the NC game. But short of that he will have to watch from the sidelines.

Of course we might see JL if it is a Bama blowout and we are trying for catchup scores. Don't want that.
