Hopefully I'm at the game so it won't matter, but I don't like the idea of Herbie & Musberger calling the game, don't mind Herbie but hate Musberger. He never knows our players names, doesn't call SEC games normally, and is a Big 10/Pac-12 homer.

I would prefer Gary & Vern call the game over Herbstreit & Musberger.

Just wait til LSU is running out the clock and they agree that "there's a team out there in Los Angeles that NOBODY including this LSU team wants to play right now."

It's ESPN, so your riding on Herbstreit.

Musberger sucks beyond belief, and Vern is equally as bad. Out of the four of them, GD is the best, easily. He's the most prepared, it's usually hard to tell who (if) he's pulling for, and he knows the names of the players and provides insight into their personalities. Herbstreit and GD are both equally guilty of the cardinal sin of broadcasting, which is picking a topic and returning to it, regardless of what the game produces.

Tell you the truth, there really isn't a commenetator (either play by play or color) that compares to Jim Henderson, in any league, in any sport, on any level, IMO.

I try not to listen to the analysts anyway, but ESPN broadcast are not even close to CBS. You are lucky to get 1 replay per play and half the time you dont get that.

CBS on the otherhand must have 50+ cameras at each game and show a replay on pretty much every play.

Vern "Make it a double" Lundquist and Gary "I will always love Tim Tebow" Danielson vs. Herb "frick Les Miles" Streit and Brent "What's my name?" Mussberger? Fuddegedaboudit. Give me the fat drunk and SEC oracle any time.

Jim Henderson and Eli Gold I think his name is would be a great team for the national championship game. A fight might happen but it would be an interesting combination of commentators.

I don't mind Herbstreit but Musberger irritates me greatly. Gary and Verne appear incompetent at times, but are actually pretty innocuous.

It won't matter once the Tigers start making their plays. Herbie is a Honey Badger Believer so if #7 gets it going the love will flow for the Tigers. And #7 will get it going.

ESPN has the gig for the big show this time, and since Gary & Vern work for CBS they will not be calling the game.
