Since the league-owned franchise cannot sue...

...will a combination of season-ticket holders (all 10K of them!), the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana have to do it?
Think about it...a lawsuit seeking punitive damages for ruining the product in NOLA because the owners didn't want a stronger L.A. team would really make the other owners pay for this joke move.

the Lakers would be suing as part owners. Claiming that blocking a trade is an intentional detriment to its investment/ownership in and of the Hornets and their potential success.

Yet another cause of action. This trade will happen.

That's a slippery slope. The other owners could argue that this corrective action actually improves the long-term profitability, thus value, of the franchise by positively affecting competitive balance.

10% of the league (three teams) came together to make a deal that is both within the rules of the league and deemed good for all parties concerned. I want this to go to court. I want all players involved in the deal to be frozen from playing for any team until the case is settled. THAT would take care of this FAST.
