New Orleans GM Dell Demps is "disconsolate" over this stunning, heavy-handed move from the commissioner's office, source tells Y! Sports.

I don't blame him one bit. He does all this work to get a trade done only to have some whiny count billionaires to say "No, we don't want you to do that." This is the first time I've ever seen anything like this. This is bullshite.

He's got to be x100000000000000000 more mentally drained then us. It had to take a lot to put this together. Only to have the owners take it away? fricking serious?

Owners nix trades all the time. This time, though, there was a large ownership group and they made the same move a single owner could make.

All along, the league office had allowed the Hornets to negotiate the Chris Paul trade without interference, sources said. And then, this.

You know he had this cooking for a while. This is utter bullshite.

I have faith in him though.

Longtime WhoDats undoubtedly wondering why NFL never stepped in to block all those one-sided, ill-advised #Saints trade back in the day...

Several GM's were lauding the haul of players and the draft pick that Demps was able to get back for Chris Paul in the deal. Now what?

Demps is pissed becuase not only did the trade not go through but it probably just wiped out his plan for the rest of free agency. He should be extremely pissed.

Why didn't the owners stop the Gasol to the Lakers a few years ago?

Who is saying NO to Jerry West? Hes the LOGO.

Also, no one new Gasol would turn out to be a Top 7 PF.
