To brag they have the top defense when we play high scoring offenses like OR & WV while they played penn st out of conference is what gets me though.

But they missed 4 field goals of 44, 49, 50 , and 52 that should have been made against LSU....it's all the kickers fault.

I'm not sure how thinking that their D is over-rated helps us when they did hold us to 236 yards in our first game. Or how they played a week schedule. They basically played the same schedule as we did minus Oregon and had almost the exact same scores. Why do we have to give the impression that this Bama team isn't good in order to feel like we have a good team? Their defense is awesome, they are the second best team in the country, and we will beat them Jan. 9

Yes, that did skew the numbers. Against common opponents, the defensive stats were almost identical (but slightly in our favor) in points allowed, in Bama's favor in yards allowed and in our favor in turnovers forced.
Bama-LSU points allowed vs.
Florida 10-11
Tennessee 6-7
Ole Miss 7-3
Miss. St. 7-6
Arkie 14-17
Auburn 14-10
total 58-54 (avg. 9.7-9.0)
Bama-LSU yards allowed vs.
Florida 222-213
Tennessee 155-239
Ole Miss 141-195
Miss. St. 131-193
Arkie 226-254
Auburn 140-248
avg. 169.2-223.7
Bama-LSU turnovers forced vs.
Florida 2-2
Tennessee 2-2
Ole Miss 2-3
Miss. St. 0-2
Arkie 2-3
Auburn 2-2
total 10-14 (avg. 1.7-2.3)
