How is that authoritative? It is all subjective.

IF LSU loses and the AP crowns us champions, I'll take it.
sounds like a "trophies for everybody" mentality. let the Bamas of the world scrounge around for scraps.

simply put, AP champion is not the national champion anymore unless they happen to vote for the BCS nat'l champion

No. The BCS is completely subjective. Under any OBJECTIVE measure, Oklahoma State should have been in the game.

We beat Alabama on their home field. FACT.

The BCS is all opinion. Because of the OPINION of a bunch of people who happen to have votes, Bama gets a second chance at us. IF they happen to win that game and the AP OPINION is that LSU is the National Champion because of our body of work and the FACT that we beat Alabama at home, I will accept their OPINION and the trophy that goes along with it.

You are reacting to Bama's abuses over the years. Stop reacting to Alabama and their fanbase and look at this dispassionately. Who cares what Alabama does?

Accept the awards you are given and move on. It won't be LSU declaring themselves champion or anything. There will be a SPLIT title to reflect the SPLIT in the series between LSU and Alabama this year.

It would actually be just. It isn't like its the Golf Digest Championship or anything.
