Yes. It bears repeating.
We would be the AP champion. If you don't want to claim that championship, then fine. Don't. But, we would still be the legitimate AP champion, just like any team who won a split title with the AP was in the past.
The AP giving their championship to USC in 2003 was a joke. They agreed to be part of the BCS system and when they didn't like the outcome, they rebelled during the season. That's like agreeing to the rules of a football game, and when a rule goes against you, you declare victory and leave the field because you said so.
I have no problem accepting the AP title if it comes to that. They give it. What are we going to do? Say no?
