BATON ROUGE — I knew Les Miles was a unique guy in my very first exclusive interview with him just a few days after he got the LSU football head coaching job in January of 2005.
I didn't know that I was replying to Glenn Dilbeaux and his crappy writing.
Dude if you are not Guilbleauxs , you are not doing yourself any favors by using him as your source material.
FACTS
1. Les is a paid, proven coach at LSU.
2. He is paid to win and is paid more if he wins
3. He decides who is the QB that will help the team most.
4. He doesn't care to pander to media or listen to advice from fans regarding players, leave alone starters or game plans.
5. GG likes to publish sensationalistic crappy pieces because it gets him eyeballs.
Les is the head coach, just because the fans/media get into their heads that they support one qb or one rb over another , doesn't mean squat to him and he is under no obligation to say anything about any player or games.
He is perhaps asked to answer the media (written into the contracts maybe) after or before the games. Even after seeing JJ as the starter on the field for the past few games, if folks ask the coach again and again "who is the starter" and "when will lee play", the only polite/non-committal answer Les can give is the one that he gives all the time.
If after 7 years you are still angst ridden over Les' answers, then perhaps you are just extremely naive to the point of foolishness and only exacerbating your painful situation.
