It is DEFINITELY in the history of the BCS.

Here is what folks like Bama alum Brad Edwards and the rest of the Bama-loving media DID NOT want to talk about until ESPN had ushered Bama into the game:

1) Bama is the SECOND team to make a BCSCG that finished 3rd in their conference (Nebraska did in 2001...thanks to a Bama poster for pointing this out)
2) Bama is the only team to make a BCSCG that defeated only THREE TEAMS WITH A WINNING RECORD (Arky, Auburn, and Ped State)
3) Bama is the only team in the history of the BCS to make the title game by beating only TWO teams ranked in the final top 25

So, yes, Bama's resume is by LEAPS AND BOUNDS the weakest.

Ahh, the life of a media darling.

Nebraska made the BCSCG in 2001 after missing the Big XII title game. So if you're actually saying Alabama finished third in their conference, they did too. Plus they got blown out the day after Thanksgiving that year. Anymore facts?
