Probable rednecks having vocal orgasms over the radio day.

By the way, Friday was a depressing day on that show.

For those that don't know, Shane passed away.

Here's where the argument that the two "best" teams are in the title game breaks down.

The BCS Executive Director just said that had OSU not lost to ISU, they would be in the national championship. Preceding this comment, however, he said the BCS got it right in that the two best teams are in the title game.

Even before OSU lost, essentially everyone thought that LSU and Alabama were clearly better than everyone else. If the OSU kicker puts the pall 6 feet to the left and makes the field goal, do people all of a sudden think OSU is a better team than Alabama? Probably not.

Yet, OSU, at 12-0, would be going to the title game in the aforementioned scenario, while one of the "best" two teams sat at home.

So, really, what is the purpose of the BCS? Two best teams, or two most deserving teams? Seems the philosophy each year is molded to support the scenario at the time.
