What's the plan for the Like button?

Any plan to put a "like button tracker" on each thread so you can see the # of likes before opening? Or using the likes to rate posters? Or will this eventually go the way of the dodo?

They were supposed to have some scripts to make the button really purposeful. I think getting the button on the page and getting posters used to it was the first step.
