because one has more Rival stars? lol.

Rivers was a 3-star and Kiel is a 5-star. Definitely a large difference in quality of evaluation, but as you said, essentially meaningless when it comes to competing for the position over the next few years. Both have the skills and physical talent to be great.

I've seen a few people who are not high on Kiel at all. Not sure why. He has a good arm, nice touch, seems to understand the intellectual aspect of the QB position, and has the legs to extend plays, as well as run the Option/Read out of the spread. Seems ideal for LSU's current offense.

I think those people are hung on the fact that Kiel is from Indiana. A center over there is the 7 foot dude standing underneath the basket.

Morris Claiborne 3 stars. He's only a finalist for the best DB in the country. i wouldn't put alot of stock into stars and ratings.

Stars are meaningless

Look what happened to that idiot from Arkansas who transferred to USC. He thought he could start immediately because he was the top QB in high school. Guess what? He never played again. High school talent means youre good in high school. Thats it.
