Almost positive Napoleon didn't say that. He was very PC about what he did say about that whole thing regarding SC being left out, but he most certainly did not throw OU under the bus like that.

Most I recall him saying was in regards to the bitching from the West Coast was that it was the system we had.

I can't stand the guy, but unless there's a link to an article from that time period that directly quotes him saying this, this is almost certainly bullshite.

Why/when would Nick Saban have said that? The time span from OU not winning its conference championship to the announcement that LSU was in the BCS Championship was a matter of hours. There was no prolonged campaign like Bama has this year.

And he certainly wouldn't have said it after the matchup was announced....why provide bulletin board material for no reason if you are already in the game?
