How can you do this and call yourself a hunter

A guy I know was hunting a little ways down from us this weekend, on public land, and by himself. Guy shoots down two ducks and nothing else, so he leaves early. He sent the guy I was with a message that said my two ducks are to your left. He actually left his birds in the water for us to pick up. Who the hell hunts and doesn't even make an effort to pick up what they kill??

I guess at least he let you know about it so you could pick them up. I guess he could have just left them out there to waste, although I don't know why he would. Glass can still be half full, sort of
