If LSU wins the SEC championship and Bama beats LSU BARELY in the NC game I would have to think LSU would still win the computer rankings. This would mean LSU would only need over 1/4 of the human votes to remain #1 in the BCS. If people like LSU's body of work they still have the right to vote for them in the final poll. Despite not getting the crystal, could this be the first true split BCS title? I'll hang up now and listen.
ETA: I improved my title line

There is no BCS "vote" after the championship game.

There is no BCS voting after the BCSNCG. The winner is the champ. Period. Only way would be for LSU to win the AP trophy...see 2003

There is no final BCS standing after the NC. The winner of the game is the champion. The AP does have a final vote.

I am not seeing why this is any different than the NFL playoffs? Teams have rematches every year and it doesn't matter who won in the regular season only the post season counts once you are in the playoffs. Same with BCS standings. Winner take all that is the way it is.

LSU is going to beat Bama anyway quit stressing.

Theoretically, (just for message board purposes) there could be a voter revolt. An obvious cheap shot takes out JJ, early in the game, the game is still close and Bama wins on a obviously blown official call (make a field goal in overtime that was clearly missed as at Syracuse). Disgust is so high among some Harris voters and Coaches, they disengage from the system as the AP did in 2003. BCS has self destructed as the OP stated even if Bama gets the crystal.

Well how the bcs is set up the regular season is supposed to be playoffs of some sort. Thats why alot of people are mad because the Nov 5th game essentially means nothing now.
