I was sitting in the end zone and was about to get a pissed at the punter's cheap shot when one of the LSU players knocked the punter on his can! The punter got up to complain to the ref, but the ref just kind of gave the punter that "look' like he was telling the punter to shut up and be glad the ref didn't throw a flag on his chicken s@#t self!

This is what I was wondering how the refs missed that. Explains it all. I bet you laughed your arse off seeing that.

FWIW Mathieu should have run hard to the endzone and this would not have been an issue. No kicker should make that separation on a kick returner

The punter didn't quit on the play like Mathieu and the blocker did. Had either one of lsu's players not let up, the hit never happens.

This thread is so Germans and so wrong.

bullshite - hit someone like that on the sidelines and it's a personal foul. It was a chicken shite late hit that wasn't called - stop defending it.

Does anybody have a link to the video that is focused on the punter as he is getting blasted?

That's ridiculous. The punter had no prospect whatsoever of stopping the TD. The only thing he could possibly have accomplished was injuring TM.

I graduated from HS with Breeding's mom.

With that said, that was a pretty lowclass move on his part. He was probably just frustrated but you know good and well he wanted to tell people, especially when he got back home to Birmingham, "I took the Honey Badger out." The way Logan knocked him on his arse was truly LOL funny.

i am only defending it against the people that claim it was 6 yards into the endzone. it was on the goal line. does that make it a late hit? eh, maybe, the punter started diving between the 1 and 2 yardline.

i agree with you about the sideline hits though. and i think that is complete crap every time they call that a late hit on the sidelines.

also, this is the 4th thread on subject. it is making LSU fans look like whiney bitches even though we blew the hogs out.

JUST LET IT GO.

Quit bitching. The only late hit penalty that should be thrown is the LSU player that took out the Arkansas player.

Meh.

I've seen hits on Tebow in the field of play get flagged. The Honey Badger hasn't reached "Little Jesus'" stature yet. He won't get those calls.

ETA: Maybe TM should start talking about going to church a lot and we can name him the Holy Badger. Bet he gets the late hit flags then.

The punter came running in and dove at TM at the goal line making contact 1 or 2 yards in the endzone. The punter clearly had no prospect of preventing the score and it was a late hit.

Not a big deal, but imagine if TM had landed wrong or something and gotten injured from it?

I'd go so far as to say he was somewhat lucky to have not been hurt.
