I can handle the talk of the rematch and such. However, the one thing that irks me more than anything else is the aspect that Bama has already punched their ticket to title game.

Is college football as a whole saying it's better to lose and punch your ticket to the game this way? I understand the aspect of they needed things to fall into place for them to have an opportunity to make it.

But I just don't like the lack of respect that a 12-0 LSU team receives as compared to an Alabama team that did LOSE to the #1 team in the country, and lost on their own home field (A LOSS IS A LOSS) and in all actuality played hardly anyone else. Arkansas isn't great, we exposed that, and what? Who else? Penn State? I can see the detriment to LSU in that statement, but at least we played a good Oregon team who I believe(?) is going to win their conference, and a good WV team. What else has Bama done to punch their ticket, lose your most important game?

I just dont understand how you can justify placing Alabama in the title game ahead of LSU whether we win or lose next week. We should be in, and maybe, if, unlikely we lose to Georgia, then and only then should Bama have the possibility the conceive an opportunity to replay LSU. Not LSU the chance to REPLAY Alabama. It should be LSU vs. _______. We earned the right to represent our conference and institution in the National Championship with a strong undefeated season.

I'm thinking we drop the SECCG and it will be Bama-Okie State for the title. Not fair, but that's the system.

If there is a "rematch", We will beat Bama handily and the embarrassment to their program will be huge. It would be incredibly unfair to us, and a mockery to the system, but frick it.

It's not about fear, it's about fair.

Even if Bama were to beat us, it would be a break even and nothing more. Sure Bama just wants their shot, but regardless of the outcome, they will look less than.

No, it's not better to lose. Yes, they not only needed things that were out of their control to fall into place for them (we never did at any point this season), but they were also left with no margin for error because they lost. Meanwhile, it seems pretty likely that we could lose a game and still get in. We're in a much better position than they are.

Also, part of the perceived unfairness dealt with the fact that we had to play Arkansas and Georgia to get in, while they only really had Auburn to worry about. That's just a product of the schedule. Win or lose vs. Bama, we were still going to have to play Arkansas, so that didn't get any tougher for us because we won. Georgia? OK, yes, but that's the price we pay for wanting to be SEC champions, and for wanting to be in control of our own fate and not worry about what anyone else does.

I don't see any lack of respect for LSU except the few complete retards here and there who have said that Alabama is a better team, but I'm kind of glad they're out there because it may help motivate our team even more.

I don't think that would happen. If we had lost to Arkie, maybe it would have, since Bama beat them soundly. But Bama hasn't played Georgia, so losing to them would be less of a problem.

Bottom line, we got a lot of benefit from beating Alabama, and they got little or none from losing to us. They'd be in better shape right now if they had beaten us, and we'd be in worse shape if we had lost to them.

I think if we lose to Georgia it hurts Bama.
