Been a Lee fan but props to Jefferson and Miles

JJ was impressive after a sloppy start and the pic. He was more accurate than I have ever seen him.
I think Lee is a great story of redemption and triumph but Jefferson is now writing his own final chapter.
Miles has pulled all the right strings. Damn strong!!
Geaux Tigers.

I wish people would understand this more. No one's dissing lee, it's just that JJ brings more to the table. All the "it's not fair" crap is stupid. It's about winning. PERIOD.

I think the more agreeable Lee and JJ supporters would attest to this. I just can't help but feel there are still OTHER reasons that people are hanging their collective heads on JLee. I've heard him been referred to as general lee etc, and i know this is not the thing to bring into the Rant, and I won't. I'll stop right there, but we all know it is still there, even if it is a very small base of our fans.
Lets all just make up our mind to pull for the team, because guess what? If JJ has a horrible game against UGA, and throws 3 ints in 2 Quarters, he should be pulled for Lee IMHO

I agree that JJ played well and kudos to him, not to Miles.
I am very sorry for Lee that Miles has chosen to chastise him for whatever reason.
I know some of you think Miles is a GOD, I see him as an employee...nothing more..and yes he has done well.
For 4MM a year he should, but I have lost a lot of respect for him.
Lee may have been acting up, but after all the crap he has endured and the preferential treatment that JJ has received, I would act up as well.
If you want one of your children to act up, show preference for another and let him know that you will be looking for him to stumble and no matter what he does, it will not be good enough.
Personally,
without Lee, we would not be where we are.
and I thank him.

I never really cared about fair. I thought JL gave the Tigers the best chance to win. It's clear that JJ also gives the Tigers just as much of a chance to win by bringing a few other things to the table. It's nice to know that if something happens to JJ, JL could step in and save the day. It's also nice to know that if something happened to JL (if you believe the rumors), JJ could take all the snaps.

It's subliminal, but it's there. I watched the second half at a local tavern, and there was one group where it was obvious.
I think both kids deserve a lot of credit.

He's getting paid $4mm to win games. Nowhere in his contract does it say he has to be fair to everyone all the time. That's idiotic. How is he chastising a player by playing someone he thinks is better. No one is saying we didn't need lee. But if you think we'd be where we are without both lee and jefferson, you're wrong.

I don't claim to know what has gone on behind the scenes. Although I figured that Jefferson would end up being the starter after Alabama, I am a little surprised that Lee didn't get a bit more playing time. But Les, is the coach, and he's done a damned fine job. I guarantee you that the decision was made with input from the QB coach and Offensive Coordinator. They have their reasons.

Go back and read my post again (and think)....
but in part without Lee, we would not be here.
You missed the point of my post.
This was the "senior's" last game, IMO, to bring JL in w- 2-3 min left is an insult based on all he has done.
You are entitled to your opinion, I am entitled to mine w/out people like you throwing insults.

let's see
he threw 2 INTs at the AL game...
Tom Brady threw 4 in one game.
you just do not bury the player for a mistake..my point in the original tread...
how much, under what circumstances has he played since... use whatever word you like, I used "chastised". If Lee was rattled in the AL game,I can understand that..but since then.???

This is the part I think far too many people are missing...BOTH of these young men have gotten second chances to put their demons behind them and play up to their potential this year. Lee's play at the start of the season ought to have put to rest any and all negative feelings that may have still lingered with some LSU fans about his play in 2008. And Jefferson's play since his return ought to have put to rest any and all negative feelings about his play the first 3/4 of last year and the off the field stuff at the beginning of the season.
Both of these guys have had a Cinderella story, and the only ones ruining it for them are the fans who seem hellbent on trying to make them seem at odds with each other.
Congrats to both Lee and Jefferson and their team mates on 12-0 and onward to 14-0 and the 4th National Championship in LSU history!

I read your post. You say that it's insulting to lee to put him in to run it. I say it's insulting to the rest of the team if a coach plays a player to be fair to that player. This isn't pee-wee football. This isn't the little giants. This is 12-0 sec best in the world football.
The better qb is playing right now. Plain and simple. I don't care if he's black white puerto rican or Asian.

I agree on your PART 1 and PART 3, not PART 2
.... I said nothing about the fans reacting to what they see happening a implying that the 2 QBs are at odds.
I can not agree on your PART 2. I do not see them at odds which each other either,
I see preferential treatment by Miles to one.
...that's my perception.

If you have an issue with the way this team is being handled, you will never be happy with LSU football. My god, we just went 12-0, and thoroughly dominated 11 of those games, with the 12th being a win on the road against the only other team being considered worthy of being the national champ.
So the coach played one senior ahead of another yesterday. Are you keeping count at other positions-
are there any O-linemen that didn't get much PT yesterday, after stepping in during the middle of the season?
Are you offended that Hilliard got a lot of time ahead of Ware, and Blue didn't smell the field?
WHAT is the fricking deal with Lee vs Jefferson for so many people? Does Lee have that many aunts and uncles out there, that everyone has to root for him instead of the team? For what it's worth, Lee will get a ring also, just like the rest of the team.

I realize that's your perception, and I have always disagreed with that perception. And it's my belief that you espousing this perception has been part of the problem and has, at least to some extent, put these guys at odds with each other.
You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. I just happen to think your actions and the actions of others like you have done more harm than good to this year's team and have been yet another obstacle they've had to overcome.
I'm a fan. I want to see the guys succeed. Therefore I try and be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Thankfully this team has been strong enough to play past this bullshite...hopefully they have two more games in them.

Ilost a little respect for Les when he did not put Lee in a little bit sooner, after all Lee has done and went thru. I have always been a Les guy not just after we beat Bama last year like 95% of LSU fans, but iwas really disappointed in Les yesterday. Lee should have played at least 3 possesions yesterday.

Your perception, quite frankly, is fricking retarded.
