Why the poor shooting on Opie's part? Why put that in the script if Clay is going to die from the shooting? Doesn't make any sense. Put two in the 10 ring for the effect.

Was he looking at Jax when he fired the shots? I thought he was looking at Jax daring him it, could be wrong though.

imo, this allows clay to slowly bleed out. This gives him time to utter some meaningful words to Jax as he dies at the beginning of the next episode.
