Fans desperate for a compromise tend to say that both QBs are mediocre.
Whily I understand people's desire to find a middle ground, this is actually the line that has bothered me the most. Mainly because it has come from cooler heads. "Oh, it doesn't matter, because they both stink (or are mediocre)".
We've lost sight of how well Lee and Jefferson have played. I don't think either are playing at Heisman levels but if we set the bar of good at "Heisman level", then that's your own problem with definitions. Both QBs have been pretty effective, save the Bama game, and against WKU we saw Miles try to flip the playbook for the two. We'll see if that yields even further growth going forward.

I'm going to dissent from my esteemed brethren. I do think both quarterbacks are mediocre, and the fact that the have very high ATVSQBPI ratings doesn't change that fact. It just means that they've - finally - been put in a position where each of their talents can be maximized. In 2008 and 2009 we saw these guys run an offense that was seemingly designed to focus on whatever each quarterback did worst. We're finally over that. The high QB ratings aren't the product of supremely talented QBs, they're the product of pretty ok talented QBs, supremely talented players around them, and an excellent offensive scheme.
