Didn't see this covered on the board. The call by Patterson yesterday to go for two was a great move for the road team to make in that situation instead of going for overtime. Contrast that with Lane Kiffen a few weeks ago playing Stanford for overtime and eventually losing the game. I'm surprised more coaches don't play for the win earlier instead of going deep into overtimes in the college game. Texas AtM and K-State was a lot of intense football. Makes me wonder what Miles would do if LSU was faced with the same situation.

Go to overtime. He could have called timeouts to force Bama to punt, but didn't.

You only go for 2 and the win in that situation when you know you don't have the better team.
