Watching the replay for the 300th time...

Why didn't Saban call timeout when LSU had the ball on the last posession? He had 3 and could of gotten BAMA into field position for a field goal.

You mean a field goal?
The reason is because he chokes for many games, big and small.

It's just bizarre that with time left for the taking he refused to take a time out.

I think he was playing for overtime. He didn't want to try and force the ball down and potentially give the ball to LSU and lose the game.
He figured with Trent Richardson he could probably score from the 25. I actually figured Bama would have the advantage going into OT. Who knew they would go backwards.

You are probably right on with this line of thinking. And I was pleasantly surprised by the defense and the bad passing by their qb. The sack was just the icing and that it did. Iced the game.

Saban doesn't trust his offense to drive down half the field even with a Heisman caliber runningback who happened to also be his best receiver that day.

My thing is ... he didn't have to. If he had have just played for it, he would have at least had an opportunity for a field goal.

The playcalling for Bama was terrible in OT.

If i didn't know what was going on I'd swear Saban didn't give a shite.

Saban's offense is TR.
When the running back gets 20 more plays than the QB does with passing plays.....
See where I'm going?

We scored our 2nd fg off an int. The Reid INT also probably took at least 3 off the board. They weren't having success with the long field goals either. So I'm not surprised he played for OT. More surprised we didn't throw on 3rd and 2 near midfield. Or at least run something else.

One thing the LSU defense exposed, is that TR is the Bama offense when they face a stellar defense. Probably will never see another. I really don't see how any of the talking heads could have been more impressed with Bama. Their post game analysis had to do more with creating controversy than analyzing the game. LSU was the best team, Richardson was the best player.

Completely agree, Roger.
McCarron wiill be very good but in this game, not so much. These are the facts. TR was the offense.
Hanks and Maze were ineffective, they didn't suck, our D was just so fast.
One game at a time.....

From where I sat (section S-13-row 21) when CNS played for the OT I literally pee-ed on myself because I felt/knew we had the advantage and would win-their FG kickers blow and we had the mommentum going in it-of course great luck that we won toss and went on D first!!

Bigger issue (of which Saban had many Sat.) was after just reaching field goal range allowing a WR to air it out against the tiger defense with time running short in the game. Truly stupid.

I thought the same thing but Nicky only had
2 TIMEOUTS not 3
(your statement still remains true though)
-----------------------------------
TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- The clock kept ticking with about 90 seconds left in regulation. LSU had been stopped on third down with the game tied, Alabama had two timeouts left, and Nick Saban let the clock keep going.

They had Rishardson open on that wheel route in overtime, but McCarin missed him.
