This article really puts the Penn State culture in perspective. It's astounding how often the PSU hires one of its own graduates for key administrative positions... and people never seem to leave.

At the end of the article, a professor emeritus of sports history from Penn State says:

"I'm not surprised Penn State has a tendency to cover things up," he said. "We almost never fire anybody here. We just change their job descriptions."
